I edited my journal and realized, that I have an Assassin's creed stamp in my stamp box. I haven't play that game for a long time now, and I decided to get rid of it. But the question came, 'what'll I put it in instead?'. The answer was simple. I got news about this game a couple of days ago, and I'm in a great fever about what I've seen. I can hardly wait the game to come up.
The stamp itself is not a big deal, I downloaded the picture from the official website, some cutting, resizing a pasting, and there we are. Hope someone put it in his/her journal. Diablo fans, rise! :D

Yay! More Diablo fans here on dA!!! :w00t:

I can't wait for the game either! But to be honest there's one thing about the game that got me worried. The new look is too WoW like, don't you think? It doesn't really look like Diablo anymore. :(
I've seen a side with a petition for having the look changed. There're some awesome examples of a possible other and more Diablo-like look. I already signed up and (I kno this sounds like advertisement XD) hope you'll sign up as well, if you want to have a more Diablo-like look for the third part of the game. Here's the link:[link]

I'll totally put that stamp in my journal! :D Can you tell me how, please? I never did that before.

I think it's diablo-like-look, with a little 3d. If you watch the screenshots, you can see that not everything is 3d, there are trees and objects that seem painted. I like this 3d engine that allows to interact with the environment, push enemies from bridges, destroy walls, etc. I've played wow for almost 2 years, and I assure you, there isn't any similarity. The camera is fix in diablo 3 as in diablo 2. And the environment is totally different. The enemies are like from the second part, and the cathedral-like dungeons, open playes still reminds me of diablo 2. The inventory got improved, it's a good thing I think, and we'll get a skill bar when we can put 6-7 skills at a time. It's has some similírity ti wow, but it gets easier to use diferent skills at a time. It was frustrated sometimes in diablo 2, that I could use only one skill with right mouse button, and I should use the function keys whenever I wanted to change. So, I think the graphics got improved, 3d models etc, but I think, we'll get used to it. The diablo 2 used sprites instead of 3d objects, so it didn' have any physics, and every corpse look alike. I hope you'll be friendly with this new look, or the designers will change it a way everyone likes. I can't wait to put my hands on it :)
You must be subscribed to put it in your journal. If you do, just copy it in

I can't wait for the game either, of couse. ;)
But not everything you say there is true. The new 3d stuff is good, yeah, but the big problem is simply: the game is too colorful and looks too cartoonish. That's what pisses the Diablo fans off, not the 3d stuff. ^^; The original Diablo games weren't as colorful as the new game is and all those colors simply don't fit Diablo. It looks too shiny, bright and happy. But Diablo has to look scary, dark and creepy.
And the next big problem when talking about colors in D3: compare the new costumes of the heroes in D3 to the ones of WoW charas. They totally look the same! And now look at the heroes from D1 and D2. NO similarities! The new costumes look weird. :O They are too heavy and over-colored and that's nothing good for Diablo.

Ah, ok. Thnx. What exactly is subscribing? I dunno ...
Hehe, yay! :icongwomp:

Subscribing is when you pay a price for deviantart, to get bonus stuff. For example, if you are subscribed, you can make a journal like mine, or when somebody you watched upload a picture, you get a thumbnail of that pic, not only a title. It also good for subscribers, that you can see 120 artworks per page when you browsing art.
So you mean too colorful? The cathedral is ok I think, but the outer area of the movie.. you are maybe right... and not at the same time. Remember Act III, the jungle. It was colorful isn't it? And be sure, colorful or not, the monsters will scare you to the bones, it'll get the feeling of diablo. The gameplay video is played around new tristram I think, I'm sure it will be darker if you go with the story.
If you say that these armor sets are similar with wow, you didn't see what tiers took place there. I don't like the newest sets of wow, they were something like from a science fiction. What we could see in the movie, were absolutely okay, not tto detailed, but kind for the eye. I didn't like the armors of diablo II, there weren't much difference between different gothic plates or something like that. I'm okay with this style

Oh, ok. Thnx for explaining. :D Yeah, it's pretty nice having a subscribition, I guess. But I don't think I would pay for that stuff though.

Most of the cathedrals, dungeons and stuff are too colorful in D3. Even worse is that they are too clean. They look like a hord of cleaners spent hours on cleaned them up. That really doesn't suit a meant-to-be scary and creepy dungeon, don't ya think? ^^;
The jungle did have many colors, but it wasn't shiny nor bright and that's why it looked good. It's not really the number of colors, but the brightness of those. The colors in D3 are too bright and shiny. Look at these pics and you'll get what I mean [link] and [link] (The line in this pic may be a bit offensive, but I don't mean any offense by this. I just mean the picture, nothing more. :aww:)

Well, if you like wow I guess you are just used to it's costume style, but I am a fan of the original Diablo series and thus I don't like the over-colored new costumes in D3. :( They don't look even a bit like the costumes in D1 and D2. This costume for example looks like directly taken from wow: [link]
There weren't so many differences because the armor had to fit the character class and shouldn't go over the top. I liked that pricipe of not letting the costumes become wierd very much. :)

I think this costume fits this barbarian. I don't think it's overcolored, it made from different materials, so it's unavoidable ti see leather, bone and metal coloured parts, maybe some gems if we talk about magical stuff. The pictures you showed.... yes, I finally got the point what you are talking about, the overcoloured pics are better. I hope you could do something with the colors if the game will be revealed unchanged, maybe in the graphics menu lowering brightness. Either way, I think we will be used to it, we're waiting diablo 3 too long, not to buy it because the colors, or items
